Introduction
FoxyTour is an application that allows to manage virtual tags. A virtual tag is a kind of digital Post-It that can be viewed and edited from a mobile device like a cell phone or any other device able to determine its location. These tags can be displayed on a map, but also as augmented reality features, in which case they will appear in superposition of the user's current view.
For instance, a mountain guide tagging an area where he suspects a risk of avalanche automatically informs other users that are approaching this critical place. A second example could be about tagging restaurants and let people to post their comments.
Services allowing information geocoding can be qualified in two categories, each one having one main advantage and one main disadvantage:
- The non-collaborative services, where a particular entity put tags. The quality of the information is often good, but costs a lot and isn't necessarily up to date.
- The collaborative services, where the users put tags by themselves. The information is free and is often updated, but the user has no idea about the quality of the data.
Arx iT introduces the worldwide first solution that allows to take the advantage of the two preceding ones. It's an electronic trust engine able to manage and inform the user about the relevance of a piece of information in a particular context. Concretely, these trust engines analyze the users comments from the tags and create virtual communities of people sharing the same tastes and interests. Thus, the more a user takes part of the system, the more the information he receives become relevant.

The main feature of FoxyTourExplore the virtual tags on the map, see their description and content. A tag can be associated to a Wikipedia page and multimedia content. Users can put comments too.
Adding a tag
This video shows one of the key function of FoxyTour: adding a tag.When you found an interesting point, you can add a virtual tag to this location. A tag can also represent a surface like for a park.

We can locate you even in a building !FoxyTour can decode information from 2D barcode. For instance, if you are in a museum, just scan the barcode next to the work of art and watch the associated tag in FoxyTour to learn more about it.
